This is my favorite piece that I’ve read all week. Thank you for your courage to delve into each tender layer, lacing us together as I can nod along with many of these soft and tough places.
Wow- I love those last two lines. The whole piece is so beautiful! We just started over at a new church and some of your words rang very true for me as well. Thank you for sharing.
“What is a mother if she doesn’t have the right answers?”
“What is a mother if she doesn’t even want to hear the questions?”
This whole piece is profound and beautiful, despite the ache of everything on your heart. You are holding so much and it is all so personal to you and your family, and yet, it is relatable. ❤️💔❤️
I appreciate your vulnerability. Aren’t we all walking around a bit fragile? In need of safe spaces for the tender areas in our lives to be shared? Don’t we all need a little tenderness from each other? After all, “the tenderness is what makes us human..”
I can so relate to this: “I’ve been wrecked by lies spoken about me.” I’ve only recently gotten out of a season like that and it was so isolating and painful and felt like it would never end. I admire your bravery not only with your words but also in doing the hard things day after day.

Your writing and tenderness bring out the tenderness in all of us. This is just beautiful.
