What a beautifully written piece, Karen. I think this is my favorite part—Because when you watch the man who saw you take your first breath, breathe his last, the only question that seems fitting to ask God is “why.”—that paragraph in particular really stood out to me. Hugs, friend.

This is a beautiful remembrance piece Karen. I am sure he is looking down fondly on these words and I like to imagine our loved ones doing the things they love still in heaven- so maybe, probably he's yelling at the TV, eating some banana bread, and laughing and crying alongside you.
